ISLAMABAD: The federal government will challenge the release of Jamaatud Dawa chief Hafiz Muhammad Saeed in the Supreme Court today (Saturday), Attorney General Latif Khosa told Daily Times on Friday.
He said there were “sufficient grounds” to challenge the Lahore High Court verdict that set Hafiz Saeed free.
On June 3, the LHC ordered the release of Hafiz Saeed, holding that there was no sufficient ground to detain or link Hafiz Saeed to the Mumbai terror attacks.
