ISLAMABAD: The federal government is unlikely to file a review petition against the Supreme Court (SC) verdict acquitting PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif from all charges in the plane hijacking case, Attorney General Sardar Latif Khosa said on Friday. He told journalists the verdict was in accordance with law and constitution, adding the government honoured it. However, Sindh Prosecutor General Shahadat Awan, who had opposed the PML-N chief’s plea against the Sindh High Court (SHC) decision convicting Nawaz, said he could not comment on whether the Sindh government would file a review petition against the SC verdict. staff report
