LAHORE
THE purpose of arranging study tour of position holder students to foreign countries by Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif was to apprise them of latest research being conducted in foreign universities to prepare them for the future challenges.
Provincial Minister for Local Government Dost Muhammad Khosa and Minister for Education Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman stated this while receiving the position-holder students at Allama Iqbal Airport on Monday morning. Schools Education Secretary Nadeem Ashraf and Higher Education acting Secretary Ahad Cheema were also present.
Talking to the media, the ministers said the students would now be able to plan their future academic activities in a better way in the light of their observations and experiences abroad. He said the study tour of position-holder students abroad was a form of multipurpose academic activity and provided an opportunity to the students to gain firsthand knowledge about the education system, teaching methods and research which would broaden their vision.
