Chief Minister (CM) constitutes committee to handle protests

LAHORE: Chief Minister (CM) Shahbaz Sharif has constituted a ministerial committee headed by CM’s Senior Adviser Zulfiqar Khosa for handling public protests over power outages across Punjab. The committee will identify pre-emptive measures to maintain law and order. The committee will suggest means to placate the protesting public and seek relief for them. The committee will also engage with the associations and organisations representing the business community. It will also facilitate negotiations between the public and industry representatives on the one hand and electricity distribution companies on the other. staff report
