LAHORE: Attorney General Latif Khosa said the cases closed under National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) are now part of past and it can’t be reopened.
In an exclusive chat with Geo News, attorney general said no politician including Asif Zardari will be affected even if NRO could be eliminated by Supreme Court or Parliament.
He said the verdicts in Benazir and Asif Zaradari cases had been given on merit, therefore, it will not affected by the elimination of NRO.
Khosa said a highly authoritative judicial commission has recommended courts to withdraw 10 percent of political cases closed under NRO.
Replying to a question, attorney general said although Supreme Court is free but not superior to parliament. Parliament is a supreme body.
